In order to open the Profile Group administration, please click on the menu item Profile Groups.

After entering the Profile Groups page KGS ScanServer will display a list consisting of the following elements on the right-hand side.
Column name | Description |

Id | A unique Id of the profile group existing in KGS Scan Server |
Group Name | The name of the profile group which was defined by you when adding a new profile group |
Description | When adding a new profile group you may also set some description to it. Please note: It’s always good practice to add a description to the profile group that explains, by whom the profiles (e.g.: R&D department) might be used by and/or which kind of profiles are included. |
Profiles | Shows the number of profiles existing within this profile group |
Action | Within this column, you’ll always see three buttons: info, users, delete. |
Adding a new profile to the profile group
In order to add a new profile to the profile group, you may click the button + Add Profile Group … .
The modal Add Profile Group will be opened which allows you to define a name as well as a description for the newly created profile group.

When clicking on the Info-button you’ll see the following information.
Information name | Description |
|---|---|
Name | The name of the scan profile group the modal was opened for. |
Last modified | The date and time when the profile group was lastly changed |
Version | The version number of the scan profile group. |
Last modification by | The user who has lastly modified the profile group. |
Upload Profiles | By clicking on the button Select Files you may upload scan profiles that have been retrieved from other scan profile groups. |
Profiles | Lists all profiles available and usable within this scan profile group. |

Within the Profiles list, you’ll see the following information.
Information name | Description |
|---|---|
Name | The name of the uploaded profile. |
Description | Contains the description, that has been defined within the scan profile. |
Last modified | Contains the date and time information, when the profile was lastly uploaded to the profile group. |
Actions | Within this column, you may download the scan profile as an XML file or delete a profile from the profile group. |
The buttons within the Actions-column allow you to download the profile from KGS ScanServer in XML format, as well as delete an uploaded profile from the profile group.
