KGS ScanServer is a Java-based software application that can be used to centrally administer KGS ScanClient profiles, KGS ScanClient licenses as well as setting up queues, that allows you to save scanned documents to destination folders.
Due to its platform-independent design, KGS ScanServer can be used on a wide variety of different operating systems (e.g.: Windows Server, Linux/UNIX servers, etc).
Normally a scan station holds its own scan profiles and licenses and recovering after a system crash often appears to be a very time-consuming task.
KGS ScanServer meets the needs of centrally administering a large number of scan stations.
You may assign locally configured scan profiles to a group of clients in order to minimize the time needed for configuration as well as centrally managing the licenses required for operating the individual clients.
KGS ScanServer also allows you to collect uploads to SAP from multiple scan stations and forward them to a KGS DocumentRouter instance, which will link those scanned documents to SAP.
While performing this task, KGS ScanServer computes checksums to ensure document integrity.
